Oh my poor blog, how neglected you are!

Today Jonas and I are traveling to Istanbul, after that, I'm to Berlin with the girls, so, I don't think I will be updating the blog as "often" (note the sarcasm please) as I have been.  So, maybe I'll pop in unannounced with a picture or two, but if I don't I'll be back in June with more stories to tell :)

Hillarious!!!

Today was the "Flight of the Conchords" concert here in Bergen.
Bergen is a VERY small town, so, people actually ran into the Conchords themselves walking around.
My friend actually gave directions to Jermaine and he ended up following him a little bit (hahaha).  Then, he came to our bachelor exhibition (I was in the library and didn't see him, but my friends did, hehehe) and this what he found:

The cutest grupies in the world: Ida and Runa. Who had been painting T-Shirts all afternoon!!!!!!

Not so much...

Well, seems like the "official comeback" didn't really happen, sorry for that.  It's been a few busy and sunny days, with not so much time to be inside and on the couch writing on my computer, but, I will try and make some time for that as well.
When the sun comes out in Bergen so do you!  You must go out and enjoy it every way you can!  So it's been a lot of grilling, going to the park, playing tennis, lunch in the garden, you name it! So here are some bits of the last few days!

We had a "dinner with friends" in which we cooked
the Shrimp Pasta I posted some weeks ago.  We also had
home-made "choripanes" and a Strawberry Tartlet for dessert!
All of these was following a nice session of Tennis!

Celebratory dinner Jonas cooked for me after my evaluation.
Roasted pork, with a Aroma mushrooms and sun dried
tomatoes sauce, rosemary potatoes and a beautiful salad.
We had it with a Domaine de la Solitude 2004
(Bordeaux) which was the perfect match.

Lunch with Katrine and Mari-Kristine in the terrace!

"Fake Family Portrait"
"Hanne's confirmation"
With cakes and champagne at the park. The explanation is
too long and absurd, but it was really fun!!!

Today:  Grilling in the park before going to The Flight of the Conchords concert!!!!!! Have a great day!!!

Official comeback! (hopefully)

Hello!  I am finally done with my bachelor project.  I have to say, the examination went very well.  I had a very interesting conversation with the sensors and my tutor, so, only good things came out of the evaluation.  I am very satisfied both with the outcome and my piece, and that feels really great.  I am now, officially, a Bachelor in Fine Arts!!!!!!!  Wooooohooooooo!!!!!  I love it!  All that is left now is the exhibition next week and then: Istanbul and Berlin!!!! What a combination! Can't complaint!

                                     "Make Yourself at Home!"
Video Installation with TV
and wooden chairs.
There might be some changes for the exhibition but this is how it looks right now.

Weekend and comfort food for the stressed soul!

What a long week! Just a few days until I have my bachelor evaluation, but I am feeling confident and ready now.  I am almost done with my installation, I am just lacking a few adjustments but now I feel like I can take the rest of the weekend off.
Yesterday was the worst day.  Just when I thought I had everything like I wanted, it rained on my parade and I was confused about my decisions regarding my piece all over again, so I came home (following my teacher's recommendation) and watched all the crappy shows I could find on T.V to take my mind off my project and cooked dinner as well (somehow I find cooking therapeutic, it's my zen!).  We had s"Chicken Spring Rolls with mango chutney and chilly sauce".
First, I made a mix of chicken, carrots, leaks and a magic
seasoning they sell at the Thai shop.

Then rice paper wrappers
Not the healthiest meal, but, it doesn't happen every day.

(sorry for not being more specific with the recipe, but I just
mixed and matched and followed the instructions on the
wrappers bag.)

Then there's today!  It was a perfect day.  Starting with a very nice weekend breakfast with scrambled eggs and bagles.  Then a sunny bike ride to school.  Once there, I finally figured out what is it I wanted with my installation (I gotta thank my teacher for his advice) so, decided I could actually enjoy the rest of the weekend!  Then I had my first beer under the sun in a terrace in Bergen.  Following that, another fantastic bike ride home, then a nice walk with Rafa and to top it all:  Home made hamburgers grilled in the balcony! (Like I said, not the healthiest food wise, but definitely comforting and also active!).

Tomorrow: Tennis match with friends followed by balcony grilling!

Dreaming of Istanbul...

It is only 20 days until we travel to Istanbul where we will be staying for a week.  I dream of the sights and the food and the galleries and the sun!  I can't wait!  I dream of the textiles and the spices, and all of the amazing things I have heard about it.

Now, back to work!

Two minutes just to say:

I am at work for a couple of hours in between building, installing and having a cold and I made myself a MINT CAPPUCCINO!  So so good!

Already drank half of it and took the picture with my phone's crap camera... but still good!

A little time off

Hi! I won't be showing around here very often until I am done with my exam's exhibition, so, I hope that is soon enough! This is the beginning of my sculpture-video-installation. Wish me luck!

Peace out! :D
